Lydia Webber is a Maine-based artist whose work is deeply inspired by the coast she calls home. Originally a watercolor artist, Lydia’s creative journey has evolved over the years while always remaining rooted in color, texture, and a love of the sea.
She first began her business under the name Wild Lupine Farm, where she combined her painterly style with functional art, creating hand-painted glassware that quickly found a following. As her work continued to grow, Lydia expanded into playful and imaginative coastal pieces, including her well-known colorful picket fence fish and whimsical rock fish collages.
Lydia has owned and operated two home décor shops—Wild Lupine Farm and Summerhouse—where she curated spaces that reflected her artistic sensibility: relaxed, coastal, and full of character. These shops allowed her to connect directly with customers who shared her appreciation for handmade art and coastal living.
Today, Lydia focuses on spending much of her time with her six grandchildren who all live nearby. Everybody loves to go to "Nini's" house where there is always something delicious to eat and an art project to do!
Although technically "retired", Lydia maintains a studio in her home in Cape Elizabeth - just a stones throw from the ocean- where she finds an endless supply of inspiration and seaglass! Currently she has been making coastal collages using found shells, thoughtfully arranged to capture the beauty, history, and quiet magic of the Maine shoreline. Each piece reflects her lifelong connection to the coast and her belief that art should feel joyful, personal, and inspired by nature.
